Design is always deeply personal but my latest new build hits different. It’s *literally* right next door. When we got wind that our neighbors were moving, we brought in the builder and made moves. Our street and our neighbors are our family. Creating a home that paid homage to the beauty of East Dallas while reflecting the changing face of the neighborhood was so important to me.

A contemporary farmhouse, Bennington features a completely new aesthetic for JRZ. Classic farmhouse features like mosaic tile and exquisite cabinetry ground the design while modern elements drive things forward. The sprawling, open kitchen features a grand 12-foot island, complete with a farmhouse sink and wine fridge. Dueling countertop surfaces add visual interest, accented with a zellige inspired backsplash. Like all JRZ designs, special attention was paid to lighting and tile. Not a builder grade finish in sight, each piece was carefully selected to convey a visual story.

It’s no secret that new construction and renovation have my heart. The process is all consuming in the best way possible and handing the finished product off to a deserving family is the absolute cherry on top!
